I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m enjoying my time off from work. I’m certain I’m not the only one enjoying this time of the year. Mike Rowe and the crew of Dirty Jobs will have one last episode for this calendar year and it sounds like a good one.
Before heading to Palm Springs to pollinate date palms, Mike offers viewers more never-before-seen footage and takes viewer-submitted questions. When winter hits, it’s not out of the ordinary for Mike to reminisce and show viewers additional footage. Any time a show like Dirty Jobs or MythBusters offers never-before-scene footage, I park my behind in front of my TV for an hour and take it all in. I really don’t care for the tiny resolution of everything on Discovery’s website.
Remember to tune in tonight at 9pm/8pm Central to catch the last episode of the year on Discovery.
As is traditional this time of year, Mike Rowe and the crew of Dirty Jobs are reminiscing about the insane things they’ve done over the past year. We saw this last week with “Dirty Holidays” and we’ll be getting more of the same tonight. Mike welcomes a few familiar faces back to the show tonight.
They include long-time Dirty Jobs fans Carolyn and Marilyn Maedel, whom we’ve met before on the show. It doesn’t seem that long ago that Mike joined the ladies for a chat about the dirtiest jobs Mike had performed.
Be sure to tune in tonight to catch the special episode of Dirty Jobs entitled “Dirty Conversations” at 9pm/8pm Central on Discovery.
With the year coming to an end in a few weeks, it just seems time to look back at what happened this year. Tonight, on the Discovery Channel, Mike Rowe reminds us of some of the jobs he’s done recently which have a holiday theme to them.
From turkeys and reindeer to cranberries and parade floats, Mike shows us the dirt, sweat and poop that go into the jobs that get us ready for the holidays.
Fans of Lee Jeans’ Facebook profile recently had the opportunity to submit questions for Dirty Jobs‘ Mike Rowe to answer. In the 24 minute video below, Mike answers questions pertaining to wide variety of subjects. Mike tackles everything from ‘boxers or briefs’ to injuries he’s gotten on the show. Heck, he even talked about the surprising response he’s gotten from the Lee Jeans’ advertisements.
I admit that’s a silly title for today’s blog update, but so was the article that inspired it. Screenrant has taken note of AMC’s vastly popular zombie drama called The Walking Dead. If you haven’t seen it, give it a watch. Just be sure to keep the little kids away. It’s gory as all get-out.
Anyway, Screenrant put together a list of six reality TV show personalities they felt could survive the zombie apocalypse. If you’re a regular viewer of the reality shows from Discovery Channel or History Channel, there’s a good chance you’ll be familiar with the faces selected for the article. On that list is one of our favorites, Mike Rowe.
Yeah, labeled “The Secret Weapon,” Mike was chosen for the list for his ability to adapt to just about every job imaginable.
Whether it be a worm dung farmer, a diaper cleaner or an animal barber, Rowe is most certainly the closest thing you’ll get to a human Swiss Army knife. What more could anyone ask for… ?
I know I’m a little late tonight with my Tuesday reminder – forgive me.
Be sure to tune in tonight as Mike assumes the role as butcher. We’ve seen Mike wield a knife or two in the past, but this is going to be a bit different as he disassembles tasty critters. In the video previews on Discovery’s website, it looks like he gets his hands at taking a cow apart. This probably isn’t the show you want young children to watch… it’s a little gruesome for some.
Dirty Jobs airs at 9pm EST, 8pm Central on Discovery.
