Join host Mike Rowe for an unsanitary look at the dirty jobs that someone has to do. From one fine mess to another, Rowe demonstrates how sewer inspectors, garbage collectors and other unkempt heroes keep the world clean for the rest of us. It’s a fun, foul look at some of the grimiest, grungiest, grossest jobs around.

I have a friend who thinks that Mike looks like Tom Selek. What’s the general sense of opinion???
Mike,
If you read this that is a major compliment!!!
There may be a slight resemblance, but it’s very slight. Mike would need to grow a little fur above his lip.
Cooolllest Show!!!!!!!

I am a blaster for the United States Forest Service. Occasionally I have to blast dead animal carcasses (i.g. horses, mules, cows). You should come along, it is indeed a very disgusting job that takes place in the fantastic wilderness of the U.S. Forest Service.
Mike and staff: I was watching the bio-diesel Mexican eatery bio-diesel plant episode today 9-26-09. I don’t know which season it is from. Is there a way to contact the gentlemen who had the plant for his Datsun pickup? If not, the contact information of the manufacture for the bio diesel plant. I would like to know more information how to purchase the equipment for myself.
Thanks,
Dean Clairmont

Most Handsome Mike,
I’ve watched Dirty Jobs show from day 1 and loved every episode. You have a great gift for making people laugh, an angel’s voice and look gorgeous covered in mud or anything else they throw you into.
Keep getting dirty Mike,
Kelly
Hello dirty Mike,
I saw in the U.S.A. Today, newspaper (business section) yesterday 11/9/ 09 an article on a company in Oakland, Ca. “The East Bay Municipal Utility District” that turns restaurant food scraps into electricity, they also collect other waste material from wineries, dairies and chicken processors, (probably poo!) They grind them up, turn them into methane gas and then into electricity. Sounds like a dirty job.
Keep up the dirty work, we love the show, Michael & Julia
