We recently told you about the next episode of Dirty Jobs which has Mike recapping some of the jobs that previous Presidents of the United States have had over their lives. We have a little teaser for tomorrow night’s new episode.

Be sure to watch Discovery tomorrow night for several episodes of Dirty Jobs, including the new Presidential Jobs episode.

With the U.S. elections getting closer, Discovery Channel is rolling out a new special episode of Dirty Jobs which looks back at some of the jobs Mike Rowe has done. Coincidentally, several U.S. Presidents have done some of these jobs as well and Mike will tell us all about them.

Here’s a clip from Discovery’s press release:

For the special, Mike relates past experiences he’s had on Dirty Jobs with the past lives and pastimes of Presidents – from James Polk, who hosted the first ever White House Thanksgiving turkey dinner (Mike recalls his famous “turkey insemination” episode), to Harry S. Truman, who worked on his family farm and once said, “No man should be allowed to be President who doesn’t understand hogs” (Mike remembers his “pig shaver” experience). Other Dirty Jobs episodes that relate back to our former Presidents’ dirty pasts include Rodent Control, BBQ Smoking, Salt Mining, Alligator Egg Collecting and more, offering a completely new way to look at the highest office in the land.

Additionally throughout Discovery’s November 4 primetime schedule, from 8 to 11PM ET/PT, the network will air 12 “Dirty Politics” segments (four per hour) that give surprising insight into the actual dirty jobs held by past presidents – from janitor (James Garfield) to tannery worker (Ulysses S. Grant) and butcher (Abraham Lincoln).

It sounds like a heck of an evening. After you vote (and I hope you all do), come home and enjoy a full evening of Mike Rowe.

It’s been a while since Dirty Jobs has had some new episodes, but we’ve known for a while that Discovery will begin airing more episodes in October. We now know what Mike Rowe will be up to.
