Dirty Jobs producer Dave Barksy recently blogged about their experience on Mackinac Island, which is where they shot the season finale, as you may recall. The “Crew Unemployment” episode had Mike and the gang working odd jobs for a day and Doug ended up hurting himself shortly thereafter.
While I feel bad for Doug, it was bound to happen eventually. Someone always seems to be falling or dropping something on this show. As it turns out, the clumsiness doesn’t cease when the cameras are no longer rolling.
Dirty Jobs doesn’t have traditional seasons like scripted shows, but tonight’s episode is the last new episode for a while. As such, Mike turns the camera on the guys who are responsible for shooting the show… Dave, Troy, etc.
Mike’s on a mission to find himself and each of his crewmates the perfect job. Using never before seen behind-the-scenes footage, Mike takes a humorous look back at each crewmember’s valuable role in bringing Dirty Jobs to life.
Check out Discovery tonight at 9pm/8pm Central as the season comes to an end.
Tonight’s new episode of Dirty Jobs revisits some of the jobs Mike has performed in the past, specifically some of the more cramped ones. Our beloved host has squeezed his body into some pretty dark places over these several years and Discovery aims to highlight the more memorable ones tonight at 9pm/8pm Central.
It’s Tuesday night and I can’t wait for more tales from Mike Rowe. Tonight, Mike travels to Michigan where he gets downright filthy working at a bone black plant. Then he meets with twin sisters who are big fans of the show to discuss the top five dirtiest jobs Mike has ever done.
Tune in to Discovery tonight at 9pm/8pm Central to catch the entire episode, but if you’re eager for a sneak peak, visit Discovery’s video page.
This reminds me of the charcoal job from a while back… black dust everywhere. Good luck, Mike.
Mike Rowe gets a new job this evening when he travels to California to learn more about the concrete trade. Mike gets his hands dirty mixing up some concrete before building a fire pit and a concrete counter top. Mike will also recount his most dangerous job.

Remember that Dirty Jobs airs Tuesday nights at 9/8pm CST on Discovery.
As I battle a nasty cold, I bring good news for fans of Dirty Jobs. Discovery has a nice run of new episodes going right now and tonight is no different.
Mike has his work cut out for him as he heads to Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, to work with the Soo Locks maintenance crew. Discovery was kind enough to put up a video preview of tonight’s episode at http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/dirty-jobs-soo-locks-technician/
You don’t often see many tense moments on the show. The idea of falling into freezing cold water isn’t one the guys were too keen on by the looks of it.
Dirty Jobs airs Tuesday nights on Discovery at 9/8pm central.
I hope everyone had a nice day on Monday. I enjoyed not having to work, but I know others weren’t so fortunate.
Discovery has another new episode of Dirty Jobs for us tonight. Mike spends the day working with the Chicken Busters to chase feral chickens and chicks to get them off the streets of Miami. Then he answers a fan letter which asks him about the familial bond often rooted within the various jobs that he works on.
Mike heads to southern California to work as an Animal Control Specialist by removing stinky skunks and other wildlife that live underneath and around peoples’ homes tonight on Discovery.
This job reminds me of Mike’s previous work with Vexcon. The crew of Vexcon were featured in at least two episodes and they ended up getting their own series on a competitive channel, A&E.
It looks like Mike will be working with a different crew tonight as he tries to handle some skunks. So much for not getting sprayed, however. Discovery released a few teases for tonight’s episode. Check them out here.
This happens to be one of the episodes I’ve been most looking forward to of late. Worm grunting looks like a pretty easy job, provided you don’t mind being on your knees for a good part of the day. Below is a teaser for tonight’s new episode.
Dirty Jobs airs on Tuesday nights at 9pm EST on Discovery.
Season five will continue on with three more episodes in this calendar year as we get to see some of those other jobs that have been hinted at in recent weeks… worm grunting, maple syrup maker, and fireworks technician, among others. Every Tuesday evening will have new episodes of Dirty Jobs for at least the next three weeks, so be sure to tune in to Discovery at 9pm EST.
In other Discovery news, MythBusters will be changing nights at the end of the year. After airing on Wednesdays for several years, MythBusters will be moving to Monday nights at 9pm EST beginning December 28th.
