We’ve had a few questions about where someone could buy those Original Dirt Shirts that were featured on last night’s new episode of Dirty Jobs. You don’t have to live in Hawaii to be able to purchase these products. You can head over to their official website: http://www.dirtshirt.com

A few minutes of browsing their site turned up something quite interesting. They’re actually doing some of Mike Rowe’s products. Yeah, Mike has his own line there now.

I felt sorry for Mike and the guys last night after watching the new “Safety Third” episode. They showed some of the most boring meetings one could think of and even a few of the production workers were nodding off while going through them.

Chalk up one more person. After a long day of work, I tuned in to catch the new episode and those safety meetings put me right to sleep. No kidding. I’m a little embarrassed to admit such a thing. However, I doubt I’m the only one to have this reaction.

I think Dirty Jobs still gets the Nielsen ratings when the viewers fall asleep with the show on. ;)

As season five of Dirty Jobs rolls on, Mike Rowe takes a look back at some of the safety equipment he’s been forced to wear over the last few years. Any regular viewer knows that Mike has a love-hate relationship with the many hard hats and harnesses he’s worn over the years. The equipment has largely done its job at keeping Mike alive, the safety equipment can also be cumbersome and in tight spaces, give Mike all sorts of problems.

Here’s a quick preview of tonight’s new episode:

Dirty Jobs airs Tuesday nights on Discovery at 9pm EST.

As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s hard to ignore the fact that this season of Dirty Jobs is slowly coming to a close. However, Dirty Jobs has at least three more episodes to air this year and Mike is sure to get a little bit dirtier in his upcoming adventures.

This is from our Dirty Jobs episode guide:

18 – Safety Third | Originally Aired on November 24, 2009
In a thoughtful look back at his most challenging and hazardous apprenticeships, Mike makes a practical case for safety and reaffirms the critical role of individual responsibility in a dangerous world.

19 – Reindeer Farm | Originally Aired on December 01, 2009
Mike goes to Kentucky to try his hand at shrink-wrapping a houseboat. Then he heads off to Palmer, Alaska to spend a day working at a reindeer farm.

20 – Marble Maker | Originally Aired on December 08, 2009
Mike goes to Hawaii to learn how to make dirt shirts at The Original Dirt Shirt Company. Then he heads off to Reno, Ohio to learn how to make marbles.

Tuesday night Mike journeys to Wenatchee, Washington to help maintain a hydroelectric dam. Then he explores a fish bypass system where he catches and tags fish and winds up wading through a pool of fish poop.

Here’s a taste of what’s to come this week:

All-new episodes of Dirty Jobs air on Discovery Tuesday nights at 9pm EST.

Mike heads to California to spend a day at an electronic waste recycling facility. Then he travels to Honolulu to learn what it takes to make tofu.

Dirty Jobs airs Tuesday nights at 9pm EST on Discovery.

Mike Rowe travels to Hawaii to clean the windows of a skyscraper tonight on Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs. A clip of the episode will be found below. I don’t recall too many jobs that had people saying a quick prayer for Mike. ;)

Discovery has released new information about the next few jobs that Mike Rowe will be involved in.

12 – High-Rise Window Washer | Originally Aired on October 13, 2009
Mike travels to Hawaii and joins the crew of Worldwide Window Cleaning where he harnesses up and hops into a bosun’s chair to clean windows 40 stories above downtown Honolulu.

13 – Toilet Crusher | Originally Aired on October 20, 2009
Mike treks to a creek in Arkansas to perform tests on endangered Alligator Snapping Turtles. Then, he travels to San Francisco where he removes and recycles toilets.

Also, I’m considering live blogging Dirty Jobs. I was curious about what some of you thought of this. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the idea, I’d be posting little updates during the show. It could be a fun way to watch for those of you with computers near the television.

As we’ve been talking about for the last few weeks, Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe returns tonight. I can’t tell you how excited I am. Not only do we get to see a new episode of Dirty Jobs, but Discovery is debuting a new ghost hunting program called Ghost Lab immediately afterwards.

Here are a few videos of tonight’s new episode entitled “Mattress Recycler”.

Dirty Jobs airs on Discovery at 9pm EST on Tuesday nights.

Discovery had a new promo for Dirty Jobs on last night and I’ve shared it on YouTube. Unfortunately, YouTube didn’t keep the a/v synced up, but it’s still good for a laugh:
