Please head on over to Mike’s official site to wish him a happy birthday, folks. It’s a nice time of the year to celebrate one’s birthday. Spring is quickly approaching and temperatures are becoming tolerable across more of the nation. The snow is melting away, making way for lots and lots of mud. Why it sounds like perfect timing to film some Dirty Jobs episodes if you ask me. ;)

Happy Birthday, Mike.

Depending on where you live, you may have noticed warmer temperatures of late. I know I’m enjoying the 50s and lower 60s right now in the midwest. With Spring officially kicking off this Saturday, Discovery has decided to dedicate a day to Mike Rowe and Dirty Jobs.

This is a great opportunity to catch an episode you may have missed. If there are any episodes you’d like Discovery to include in a future marathon, let them know by leaving a comment below.

Dirty Jobs producer Dave Barksy recently blogged about their experience on Mackinac Island, which is where they shot the season finale, as you may recall. The “Crew Unemployment” episode had Mike and the gang working odd jobs for a day and Doug ended up hurting himself shortly thereafter.

While I feel bad for Doug, it was bound to happen eventually. Someone always seems to be falling or dropping something on this show. As it turns out, the clumsiness doesn’t cease when the cameras are no longer rolling.

With Dirty Jobs off for a couple of months, Amazon is putting Dirty Jobs‘ DVDs up for a decent sale. At up to 55% off, the “Collection” DVD sets are available for a pretty good price. The first four collections are available for just $9.99 each, while the newest collection is available for $17.49.

If you don’t have any of the first four sets, you can get them in a bundle for just $33.99 which is almost $6 cheaper than if you were to buy the sets individually.

Click on the above graphic to learn more about collections 1-4, which are currently on sale, 44% off at Amazon.

If you’re a fan of other Discovery shows (and who isn’t?), Amazon has other DVDs on sale as well, including those for MythBusters, Deadliest Catch, Man vs Wild, etc.

Dirty Jobs doesn’t have traditional seasons like scripted shows, but tonight’s episode is the last new episode for a while. As such, Mike turns the camera on the guys who are responsible for shooting the show… Dave, Troy, etc.

Mike’s on a mission to find himself and each of his crewmates the perfect job. Using never before seen behind-the-scenes footage, Mike takes a humorous look back at each crewmember’s valuable role in bringing Dirty Jobs to life.

Check out Discovery tonight at 9pm/8pm Central as the season comes to an end.

Tonight’s new episode of Dirty Jobs revisits some of the jobs Mike has performed in the past, specifically some of the more cramped ones. Our beloved host has squeezed his body into some pretty dark places over these several years and Discovery aims to highlight the more memorable ones tonight at 9pm/8pm Central.

With President’s Day (a.k.a. Washington’s Birthday) coming up this Monday, Discovery is celebrating it Dirty Jobs style, with an all-day marathon. Mike and the crew will be traveling the country, scraping, scooping, and hauling just about everything you can imagine in this marathon.

After looking at Discovery’s schedule for the day, I like what they’ve got scheduled, except for one episode…

Discovery, where is the “Dirty Presidents” episode? This seems like an obvious episode to choose to air and I’m not sure why this was overlooked. I’m really disappointed.

It’s Tuesday night and I can’t wait for more tales from Mike Rowe. Tonight, Mike travels to Michigan where he gets downright filthy working at a bone black plant. Then he meets with twin sisters who are big fans of the show to discuss the top five dirtiest jobs Mike has ever done.

Tune in to Discovery tonight at 9pm/8pm Central to catch the entire episode, but if you’re eager for a sneak peak, visit Discovery’s video page.

This reminds me of the charcoal job from a while back… black dust everywhere. Good luck, Mike.

Mike Rowe gets a new job this evening when he travels to California to learn more about the concrete trade. Mike gets his hands dirty mixing up some concrete before building a fire pit and a concrete counter top. Mike will also recount his most dangerous job.

Remember that Dirty Jobs airs Tuesday nights at 9/8pm CST on Discovery.
